Glass Amphora Vase
France, c.1920

A two-handled vase in jet black glass, the amphora form reinterpreted through a bold Art Deco lens. Vertical platinum lustre stripes sweep from neck to foot, punctuated at the shoulder by a frieze of overlapping lunettes, with lustre banding at the rim, neck, and stepped foot. Unsigned.
