Blue Crackle Ceramic Plate
France, c. 1900
A large shallow dish with a celebrated craquelure glaze in deep cobalt and pale sky blue, produced during Lachenal's most experimental period. The controlled crackle effect — achieved through precise kiln management — creates a surface of extraordinary visual complexity.
